Overview
"Tongue Depressors were designed to fit on the tongue of a running shoe under the laces. It would be depressing to be hit by one, hence the name. The Toungue Depressors work best when positioned near the 'bow tie' in the laces. The two spikes help prevent them from moving or 'drifting'.

Targets are the calf muscle, shin, knee, or thigh areas. Even in the wintertime, these targets are only lightly covered with clothing. Tongue Depressors can be worn on the strong side foot or in pairs. This itemmay also work in a grappling situation.

Tongue Depressors should be considered part of a 'layered defense', which may include empty hand, pepper spray, and a Kubotan or similar impact tool. Kick as a distraction to set up a power technique, or kick and run! While carrying packages during a shopping spree, or running or jogging, Tongue Depressors keep the hands free. They are an unnoticeable means of self-protection, with a low chance of serious injury."
