'Exploring functional boundaries without sacrificing purpose' - This has been my personal motto for well over a decade as a professional knifemaker. The many endeavors that I have involved myself in have molded my view of what a top notch field knife should be, and how it should perform under real world use. Some of these include extensive backpacking, trekking and exploring the trails and mountains of the Pacific Northwest and beyond, S.C.U.B.A. diving, of which I became a certified diver at the age of 14 and Kombatan/Arnis Martial Arts (Presas style). My passion for knives began early in my life and it has never waned. I have had many great influences, some of which are Jody Samson, Jim Hammond, George Lainhart and Trace Rinaldi. Being a self taught knifemaker has enabled me to develop and refine my own distinctive style over the years. I gravitate towards making knives that are practical but at the same time are not afraid of hard work. I do my best to offer a knife that exhibits a high level of quality construction and well thought out design and craftsmanship so my customer can have a knife that evokes a pride of ownership for years to come."
