Shipping Policy

Any customers with separate shipping and billing addresses are subject to follow up contact. If no contact can be made, your order will be cancelled. Please understand that this policy is to protect our customers from fraud and theft.

Shipping costs are calculated automatically when you checkout. Orders to P.O. Boxes or military addresses require shipping via USPS.

Orders placed by 3:00pm EST will be shipped the same day. All orders shipped USPS (including Express) may take an additional business day to process and ship. We strongly recommend shipping UPS if you need guaranteed delivery by a certain date.

For our international customers, you must call or email after ordering to arrange for duties/customs and declarations before we will ship your order. USPS Express International shipments with declarations greater than $200, incur an additional $15.00 fee for postage/insurance.

Overview

Full tapered tang construction with a blade of differentially heat treated 1070 carbon steel.  Blade is 3/16" thick and 1 3/8" deep. Brass bolster and pins are engraved by the maker in a floral pattern.  Scales are stabilized and dyed giraffe bone. Comes with leather sheath hand-tooled in a basket weave pattern. Mint condition except for very light sheath scuffs on bolster. Comes with maker COA. Blade Steel: 1070

About the Maker

Heavin Forge (Heather and Kevin Harvey)

"Heavin" is a combination of our first names, HEAther and KeVIN. We are both award-winning Master Bladesmiths with the American Bladesmith Society, members of the Knifemakers' Guild of Southern Africa, and founding members of the Southern African Bladesmiths Association. Both Kevin and Heather are authorized instructors in Bladesmithing with the American Bladesmith Society. Regular classes are presented at their Heavin Forge Bladesmithing Studio and School in South Africa. The two have also taught at the Bill Moran School of Bladesmithing in Old Washington, Arkansas, U.S.A. Heavin Forge, our bladesmithing school, is one of seven ABS recognised schools in the world with five of them being in the U.S.A, one in Belgium and Heavin Forge in South Africa.
