This Mammoth Ivory Hunter by Gaetan Beauchamp features a hand rubbed satin finish blade, 5/32" blade stock, 7/8" blade depth. Full tang construction with dovetailed stainless guard, black spacers, and mammoth ivory handle. Scrimshaw by maker of beaver scene. Comes with beaver skin sheath. Excellent fit and finish. Excellent- condition; a some light scratches on bolster. Blade Steel: ATS34

Gaetan has received international recognition and awards for his knives and scrimshaw.Gaetan prefers to use ATS-34, 440C, O1, and Damascus. He typically uses 416 stainless steel for his bolsters. His handle materials range from stabilized wood, ivory, water buffalo horn to malachite and lapis lazuli gemstone. Gaetan's wife, Denise Bryar, makes his sheaths, often using moose, emu, shark, salmon skin and beaver tail. Gaetan Beauchamp is a member of both the Canadian and the U.S. Knifemakers' Guilds.
