Overview
One of the earliest Soldier of Fortune models by the Vallottons. Dual action with flush in the scale button release for auto fire or thumb stud for manual opening. Linerlock release. Contoured handle offers great grip. Blade is marked S.O.F. 92 27 of 30 with makers' marks for Butch Vallotton, Rainy Vallotton and Shawn Vallotton (pile side). Blade and backspacer have some scuff marks from handling but otherwise this knife is in excellent condition. With only 30 of these made in 1992, this is a rare score. Blade Steel: ATS 34 Bead Blasted

Butch Vallotton is considered one of the finest automatic knifemakers specializing in double action autos and for converting manual folders into automatic. He started making knives full time in 1984, making his first auto in 1987. His assisted knife technology is in current use by Gerber, and he has worked with Spyderco and Microtech designing the very collectible Chameleon Double Action.
