Branton, Bobby
My name is Bobby Branton, and I'm the owner of Branton Knives, from Awendaw, South Carolina. I've been a custom knife maker for over 30 years and I've studied with some of the masters in the custom knife industry. I'm pleased to offer my line of handcrafted knives to the collector, or everyday user of fine cutlery. My goal is to provide “Quality Knives at Affordable Prices” to any person who uses a knife daily to complete a multitude of tasks in the course of their routines. From casual collectors and sportsmen, to law enforcement officers, fire fighters, and soldiers who depend on their tools with their lives, they all can rely on a Branton Knife. In addition to my line of throwing knives, I am making quality tactical folders and small to medium sized fixed blades for every day carry. In 2004, Bobby was inducted into the International Knife Throwers hall of fame as "Knife Thrower of the Year" and in 2005 he was also inducted once again with the "Silver Lifetime Achievement Award". Then in 2014 he once again received another "Lifetime Achievement Award".
Brend, Walter
Walter Brend is a living legend in the knife industry. He's been grinding knives for nearly forty years and has gained a reputation for having some of the most intricate and most beautiful custom grind lines around. He specializes in tactical folders and fixed blades that are just the right combination of size, style, and of course functionality. After living in several states, Walter and his wife moved to rural McMinn County home and soon began turning out new styles for collectors in an expanded work shop. The shop is filled with different sized belt grinders and unique equipment needed to cut and finish his one-of-a kind creations. Several machines were designed by him and built by a specialty company. Along with constantly developing new and unique knife design styles, Walter also takes special orders from collectors who have their own ideas. Buyers in other countries often seek special creations, asking for both hunting and collectible knives. Walter said his most expensive weapon created was a sword that sold for $30,000 to a collector in China.
