I first became interested in making knives when I was in high school and made my first one out of an old file. It was a crude affair and my knowledge of heat treating left something to be desired. My interest in handmade knives was re-kindled in 1984 when I was searching for "that perfect knife". Not finding either a commercial or custom knife that had, for me, that "feel", I decided to work on developing my grinding and finishing techniques and make my own knives. From there it has been a constant search to develop and improve my designs to find that "balance of form and function". I hope you get as much enjoyment out of using my knife as I did in making it.
