Perfectly center seated and eye catching Damascus blade. Super smooth opening by either the thumbstuds or the flipper. Once opened, the flipper serves as an index finger guard. Well contoured handle with finger grooves. The Damascus and carbon fiber create a very appealing combination. Super nice.
ABOUT THE MAKER
Visit this maker's website: Lerch Custom Knives. "I enjoy the multiple challenges that knife making presents. When I make a knife I must consider mechanisms that are reliable, smooth, and easy to use; materials that meet physical demands, and optional enhancements that dress up the tool. Bringing all these aspects together to make a knife that works, feels good in your hand, and is attractive looking is my personal goal." Matthew's work often incorporates Damascus, exotic natural materials, engraving, and file work done by his Wife, Mary Jo. Matthew has been making knives since 1984 and has been a Journeyman Tool and Die maker since 1981. His knives are an awesome test to his ability as a skilled and innovative artisan. When you pick up a Lerch knife it's obvious you aren't just holding a knife, but a piece of functional art.
