Overview
Dan is a master at making slipjoint folding knives and this piece is proof of his skills. This model (#3) is one of five custom prototypes Dan designed as a future production version expected to be made by Queen's Cutlery. The center liner separating each blade has a milled finish. Not only is the coloration of the black lip pearl exquisite, but Dan has embellished it further with intricate and detailed carving. The tapering shape is a bit unique and very stylish. The threaded bolsters provide an eye catching appearance. Both blades open easily and have a distinct "snap" upon closing. An excellent knife in function, a beautiful knife in form. Blade Steel: BG 42 Satin Finish

ABOUT THE MAKER
Burke, Dan
I sold my first knife in 1976 and then went full time in 1996 with the intentions of making nothing but slipjoint multiblades. In the last five years I have really concentrated on English style multiblades from the great Sheffield period. I like to concentrate on more small gentleman folders, but occasionally make a large style knife. Won best folder at the Blade show in Atlanta in 2003; also won best folder at Blade Show West in 2003, and best utility hunter at Blade Show West. 2003 Blade Handmade Best Folder award. I was featured in Blade magazine December 1999 'Profile in Steel' by Butch Winter, and have had numerous other articles in Blade and Knives Illustrated. I have had knives in Blade magazines 'Knives Annual'."
