I was born in Houston, Texas and moved to Colorado in 1959. I graduated from the University of Colorado in 1972, having studied Chemical Engineering and ultimately taking a degree in Chemistry with an emphasis in Organic Synthesis. I have worked in a number of industries and fields, am a solid CAD designer, and I have designed and patented ideas as a mechanical engineer. I am an accomplished model ship modeler, featured as the prime artist at the Mystic Museum Gallery in Mystic, Connecticut for my model of the USS Constitution.Looking for a different avenue for my talents, I started making knives in 2002, building them based on CAD designs. I have an eye for exactness and tight tolerances. Knifemaking is truly a love of mine and it is fun and quite fulfilling."
