Overview

Excellent Devin Thomas Damascus on the talon curved blade. Double cutbacks on the 3/16 inch thick blade spine. The Damascus bolsters and mother of pearl scales are scored with a slight scoop in the center of each mother of pearl scale. This automatic fires by depressing the top square on the front bolster which provides a very fast release. The overall handle is contoured with finger grooves on the bottom and contoured thumbrest on the top of the front bolster. Note the double Spanish cutout at the choil. The Wyvern has a unique raptorial shape and style of its own and this specially commissioned version bears the number 001 on the inside rear of the back spacer following Reese's initials. A most impressive automatic knife. Blade Steel: Devin Thomas Damascus

About the Maker

Weiland, Reese

"My interest in knives began when I was 12 years old. I had an uncle, an amateur archaeologist, who made knives out of saw blades. After receiving a book on how to make knives from him one Christmas, I made a sword out of a piece of junk and gave it to my uncle. I became a member of the Knifemaker's Guild in 1988. The following year, I made my first folding knife."
