Although not marked, John advises that this Sicarri is the prototype for future versions. The spine of the blade thickens as it flows back from the tip, to 3/16" at the front of the scales, going to 1/4" the rest of the way back to the end of the handle. The angled handle provides a nice grip with the elevated thumb ramp and index finger guard. The cut-out in the blade belly is not sharpened, allowing an additional index finger position. The matchup of micarta and ironwood for the scales is quite nice. Thong hole. Strong, solid and well balanced.
