This custom Behring F-1 features a hand forged blade with hammer marked flats and black finish, .241" blade stock and 2.207" blade depth, hidden tang construction. The handle has a bead blasted copper guard, black linen micarta grip with black/copper/micarta spacers and copper pin and lanyard hole. Comes with a hand tooled brown leather sheath by Roger "Mudbone" Jones with a hammered copper arrow head. Very nice sheath in its own right. Excellent condition.

James Behring was born in Detroit, Michigan but grew up in rural Ray Township, Michigan playing in the woods bow hunting, fishing, and skeet shooting. As a boy he was taught by his father to hunt and fish on the lakes and forests of Northern Michigan and later the Upper Peninsula. The Behring Family had a hunting camp in the U.P., where James would spend much of his fall months. Also an avid fisherman, he discovered early in life the serenity to be found while alone in the forest or on a lake, or in a stream.
