Overview
This "Lewis and Clark" knife by Rod Chappel (Davis Knives) features a mirror polished recurve and upswept blade, .233" blade stock and 1.960" blade depth, hidden tang construction. The handle has a brass guard and butt cap, cocobolo wood grip with black canvas micarta and aluminum spacers. Very nice figuring in the handle, has an amazing grip. Comes with a black leather sheath. Has a few light scratches on the blade and some tarnish on the guard that could be polished out easily, excellent condition.

ABOUT THE MAKER
Chappel, Rod
Rod "Caribou" Chappel named his business, "Davis Custom Knives", after his grandfather Roderick Davis. Rod began making knives around 1973, possibly earlier, and studied his craft under Gil Hibben and Harvey Draper. Rod's knives incorporate his many diverse talents, culminating in both artistic and functional designs rooted in his deep appreciation for perfection. Mr. Chappel passed away in early 2017.
