Shipping Policy

Any customers with separate shipping and billing addresses are subject to follow up contact. If no contact can be made, your order will be cancelled. Please understand that this policy is to protect our customers from fraud and theft.

Shipping costs are calculated automatically when you checkout. Orders to P.O. Boxes or military addresses require shipping via USPS.

Orders placed by 3:00pm EST will be shipped the same day. All orders shipped USPS (including Express) may take an additional business day to process and ship. We strongly recommend shipping UPS if you need guaranteed delivery by a certain date.

For our international customers, you must call or email after ordering to arrange for duties/customs and declarations before we will ship your order. USPS Express International shipments with declarations greater than $200, incur an additional $15.00 fee for postage/insurance.

Overview

This Ming Chinese Imperial Guard Knife is deep sculpted with dragons and Chinese calligraphy icons. Deep engraving on the brass bolster means "Strength and War" and on the pommel the engraving means "Dragon Strength. Even the pins are deeply engraved with Chinese characters. The 12" 440C blade spine is engraved the entire length of the spine.  Blade stock is .20" and the depth is 2". The handle is ivory linen micarta with red/brass spacers.  What an extraordinary example of period reproduction artwork and detail. The leather sheath is extra heavy duty using premium hide and a Chinese dragon concho. Beautifully tooled in a texture motif. New from maker. Note: There are a few heavy scratches on the blade. About the Maker

Negron, Ray

Born in 1948 in Puerto Rico, Ray made his first knife in March 2006 and sold his first knife in December of the same year. Ray got the opportunity to learn how to engrave metals in 2007-2008 at the GRS engraving school in Emporia, Kansas. Ray has retired from his career as an engineer for the U.S. government and has become a full time knifemaker and engraver of knives and firearms, and is now living in Florida.
