Overview
This custom bolo features three engravings with a Philippines discovery theme. There is a Spanish galleon on one side of the blade and a scene with the Spanish planting a cross on the beach on the opposite side. The butt medallion is engraved with a Lapu warrior fighting the Spanish. Additional fine engraving along the blade spine and guard. 3/16" blade thickness and 2" depth. Guard and medallion made of 416 SS. Handle is buffalo horn and stag crown with mosaic pin. Extraordinary workmanship. Comes with leather sheath also with a Lapu warrior embossing. New from maker. ABOUT THE MAKER
Negron, Ray
Born in 1948 in Puerto Rico, Ray is a relative newcomer to knifemaking. He made his first knife in March 2006 and sold his first knife in December of the same year. Ray got the opportunity to learn how to engrave metals in 2007-2008 at the GRS engraving school in Imporia, Kansas. Ray has retired from his career as an engineer for the U.S. government and has become a full time knifemaker and engraver of knives and firearms, and is now living in Florida.
