This Bowie features a hand-rubbed satin finish forged blade with a false top edge, stainless fittings, and a ebony handle. 3/16" blade thickness and 1 1/2" blade depth. Nice clean design. A few light scratches on blade and fittings; handle has light scuffs. Comes with nylon sheath (not original). Blade Steel: Forged 5160 Steel

I use 1084, 5160 for plain carbon blades and15N20, 52100, L-6 and 1084 for damascus. The carbon blades are zonedhardened and tempered at 375 degrees for 2 hours times 2, damascus bladesare hardened and tempered at 475 degrees for 2 hours times 2. This process istaught by the Bill Moran School of Bladesmithing in Old Washington Arkansas.This process produces a hard cutting edge with a softer spine. I use various typesof handle material, Walrus Ivory, Elephant Ivory, Fossilized Walrus Ivory, Oosic,Steller's Sea Cow Bone, Giraffe Bone, Stag, various wood which all is stabilized."
