This engraved 4-blade slipjoint was produced by Rodgers Cutlers sometime between 1837 and 1901. It features four blades, three of them 1 1/8" in length and one 2" in length all intricately fileworked along their spines. The makers mark reads "V-R, Rodgers, cutlers to her majesty patent, No. 6 Norfolk Street, Sheffield". Engraved double bolsters and tortoise shell scales with high polish escutcheon. Brass liners and steel backspacer with engraved interior. Beautiful workmanship and materials. Excellent antique condition- there are some light scratches on all parts of this knife, but the tortoise shell is in great condition and the engraving and filework are still perfect.
