Overview

Made in Germany in 1989 it was made by Boker as part of Franklin Mint's Sportsman's Year Hunting and Fishing Knife Collection. The set was comprised of 12 knives and a large custom wooden display case. The set was priced at over $1200 in 1989 and contains the 12 finest knives that have ever been marked with Franklin Mint's marking, plus an additional 6 knives that were issued in limited release. This set was coordinated by legendary knife expert Bernard Levine and these knives are the only knives ever offered by Franklin Mint to have been made by a name brand maker. All subsequent Franklin Mint knives have been made in either Spain or China.

The cases are made of walnut and has magnets to hold in the knives. Can be wall mounted or displayed on a table. Also comes with some information about the set and each knife. The large case has a chip in the door. Comes with a letter of authenticity from Bernard Levin.

This set is very rare with the addition of the additional 6 knives that are included in the collection that make it very very rare "totally complete" set as we have never seen them with the display cases nor has Bernard.

All blades are stainless steel and the handle materials are listed below with the demensions. Some of the knives have light scratches on the back of the blades from the magnets.
