About the Maker

Martin, Peter

My name is Peter Martin and I have been making knives for over 16 years and I'm a voting member of the Knifemaker's Guild. I believe in sole authorship and I stand behind my knives 100%.All of my knives are handmade 1 at a time. Forge welding the damascus billets, patterning and shaping the blades is performed solely by myself to ensure the finest quality control. I've spent a lot of time and resources researching and testing for proper heat treatment of my blades and I can guarantee that they are heat treated to perform to the best of their abilities for which they were intended. I select only the best natural handle materials available at the time. I have no "get by" factor. It's either the very best or it's not used. My knives, are just that, made by me down to the smallest detail. On occasion I will allow other qualified artists to perform engraving or scrimshaw work, if requested by the customer, on my knives.

Yamin, Faisal

I took an interest in knives, swords, and other unique creations in my early childhood years. I've always been drawn to difficult things and avoided those things that are easy or boring. I work as a Technical Architect and enjoy things that go fast and/or make loud noises. I hold a National Record as a competitive shooter. I have collected knives for years and in 2013 decided to do design collaboration work and now have over 10 designs either in production or completed. I enjoy most anything outdoors and appreciate all things hand-crafted.
