Overview

The Tidioute model 15 Barlow is a classic, traditional profile, single blade slip joint folder that has a timeless appeal. The Barlow pattern originated in Sheffield England, but it is American as “apple pie” thanks to the popularity in postcolonial America. A modified version of the classic design, the Urban Jack Knife retains the spear blade and teardrop handle with short bolsters for a more modern look paired with the BRR Tool (comb), popular for urban and rural carry. This version comes with a satin finished blade and OD Green canvas Micarta covers.

Blade: This utilitarian slip joint folding knife has two blades: a flat ground, satin finished 1095 carbon steel spear point and Beard Refuse Removal tool (a.k.a. a comb). The utilitarian spear blade handles a variety of daily cutting tasks with ease equipped with a spine swedge for a fine point for piercing and detail work. The BRR easily removes crumbs or other leavings from your facial hair regardless of style. Open via the nail nick or rounded end with snappy half stop operation for added safety. The spear blade has an "Urban Jack" etching in addition to the standard blade stamps.

Handle: The teardrop shaped handle has stainless liners supporting securely pinned, Green Jigged bone covers for rugged visual appeal and traction in the hand. Brushed short stainless bolsters at the pivot are flush fit to the scales. Strong, full length stainless back springs, brass lanyard tube and pins complete the construction along with a wide, "Urban Jack" Bowtie shield round out construction.

1095 High Carbon Steel: Highly popular, simple carbon steel. Used extensively by both production and custom knife makers. Low abrasive wear due to low carbide content but very tough and easy to sharpen. Not corrosion resistant and will rust without proper care.

Comes with original packaging. Excellent condition.
