Overview
This Omega timepiece from the post-war era exhibits a dressy aesthetic in its lug shape and face design, while incorporating sporty functionalities like luminescent paint and a screw-back case with waterproof capabilities. The two-tone dial features different finishes on the inner and outer sections, complemented by wedge-shaped indexes with an embossed design, contributing to the sporty appeal. The dauphine hands at the center are luminescent, and the positioning of the two-tone switch includes minute markings printed over, allowing the seconds hand to gracefully overlap.
The case, showing some minor scuffs, maintains a pleasing proportion. The dial exhibits a tasteful aging, with the luminescent material on the indexes having aged to a dark color, giving it a sharp impression. The hands show subtle aging but still retain their radiance. After an overhaul at our store, it operates with precision and is ready for immediate use.
The Caliber 351, equipped with a shock-resistant bumper mechanism, provides a tactile experience with a distinctive rhythmic vibration felt on the wrist when worn. The vintage charm of cross lines and the two-tone dial is a unique feature of this watch.
The bumper or half-roto automatic winding mechanism was developed to house an automatic winding mechanism without increasing the thickness of the watch. The weight moves back and forth in a fan-shaped motion. Initially introduced by the esteemed manufacturer Harwood, it was later adopted by various brands such as OMEGA, JAEGER LE COULTRE, MIDO, and ZENITH. The later versions of Omega's bumper, like the Caliber 35 series, often have efficient winding, offering a distinct wearing experience.
33mm case, has croci strap attached. Has scuffs and scratches, but in overall great shape for its age. Winds and ticks. Doesn't come with anything.
