Overview
This is a German nickel plated saber for Artillery Wachtmeister Osthues with a black lacquered scabbard with one ring. A slightly curved blade with unsharpened edges, marked with manufacturers logo, Paul Weyersberg & Co, Solingen, on a ricasso. Brass D-Guard hilt, plain style pommel and backstrap, black celluloid grip with brass wire wrap. Appears to have been and carries, his small dings in the edges, a ding here and there on the brass, the handle is a bit loose, otherwise good condition for its age. #244 on the guard.
