Overview
This Rukus by Benchmade is a Niel Blackwood design. Axis lock mechanism. Matte finished plain edge blade with notched thumbrest and dual thumbstuds. The handle has black G-10 bolsters and black G-10 scales, black stainless steel liners and tip up reversible clip. Comes with original box and papers. This listing also includes the original brown micarta covers, as well as the original clip. Has a couple light scuffs, excellent condition otherwise.
Note from the consignor:
"This was a rare factory configuration. Normally, 610s were only sold with the typical canvas micarta scales. However, this was a limited release of matching black G10 scales and it shipped that way from Benchmade. The box is so marked (the D suffix was the designator for this configuration). The canvas micarta scales I included were purchased separately and have never been on that knife... the black G10 scales are what came on the knife from Benchmade. Additionally, the extra clip and hardware were ordered by me from Benchmade as a spare set as the clips on the 610 were known to break/bend easily. The clip that is on the knife is the original clip. I have never even tightened the pivot on that knife since I purchased it at the Hurlburt Field, Florida, BX (USAF Special Operations Command) in July 2009."
