Overview

With roots dating all the way back to 2015, the Raven is a Toor Knives original design and our first full size model. It’s seen several modifications and updates over the years, and it's now making its return as our largest knife in the SOF Series!

We built the Raven with a 5.5” blade for heavier tasks, and it's ground with an extra high bevel for longer sharpening life and reduced weight, leaving a perfect blade-to-handle balance in hand. Additionally, we have added a harpoon false edge on the top of the blade with 45° grinds leaving seamless transition to the tip. The Raven is fitted with our original reverse grip handle, featuring rear finger groove and pommel jimping. Our signature feather textured handles with fluted grooves provide ultimate comfort and grip, along with an iconic aesthetic. The Raven is offered in a tactical Covert Green option as well as a Carbon version.

We are also extremely excited to announce the integration of the Breacher Ball™ technology into the Raven! For years, we have been working on breaching options for the pommel of our fixed blades, and in 2020 we began experimenting with pointed carbide and ceramic inserts for this task. Based on those successes, we knew we had the right materials, but we faced a challenge in that it was incredibly uncomfortable to wear a knife with a point on the back of the handle!

Finally, we landed on a tungsten carbide Breacher Ball™ for the pommel. This offered the same glass breaking effect, but it gave us a much more minimal and comfortable option for the rear of the knife. This latest model of the Raven offers almost 40% of exposed carbide ball from the pommel of the knife, allowing for maximum breaking ability. The 0.1875” Breacher Ball™ is press fit into the hardened tang of the knife and secured on either side by each handle scale. This is by far the most comfortable and effective breacher on the market, and we’re thrilled to launch our carbide Breacher Ball™ on the return of the Raven, effective on standard, tempered, and safety glass!

Each Raven is proudly produced here in San Diego, CA by our skilled and talented manufacturing team and includes a FlexTech KYDEX® sheath.

Comes with original box and papers. Excellent condition.

About the Maker

Toor Knives

After continually encountering extremely expensive knives in the marketplace, with long production times always attached to them, Connor Toor decided to take matters into his own hands. He started by building a forge in his backyard and then began crafting blades with a hammer and anvil. At that moment, Toor Knives was born, founded on the basic principle of manufacturing hard use blades in the USA, at an affordable price. Connor’s initial inspiration was fueled by a growing frustration of seeing teammates in the Marine Corps having to rely on mass-produced knives that were unfit for mission-specific tasks. So, he began tinkering with blades and crafting designs to improve store-bought and military-issued tactical knives. Knowing this would only take him so far, Connor decided to start developing blade designs that would meet all the demands of his job in the Marine Corps. He dug deep into his own experiences, pooled wisdom from his teammates, as well as his Army Ranger brother and developed a list of everything they felt a tactical knife needed to be. Admittedly, the first few blades were far from pretty but eventually, a family of quality knives were created to fit the needs of operators and sportsmen/women from around the world. Like every business, we’ve certainly had our share of ups and downs since our humble beginnings, but we now have over 30 incredibly talented craftsmen and women, engineers, machinists and bladesmiths under the Toor Knives roof, here in Connor’s hometown of San Diego, CA. Connor’s goal has always been to create as many domestic jobs as possible and we’ve been fortunate enough to industrialize, which has led to us creating an extremely skilled staff. The process behind our product is unique because it revolves around our manufacturing team’s skills! This technique is incredibly important to us and every day we are concentrated on the relevant details of a knife while being PEOPLE ORIENTED, PROCESS FOCUSED and PRODUCT DRIVEN. We do all of this under the one hanging flag in the machine shop, but the symbolism behind Under the Flag is more than just the literal flag – it’s also a remembrance of those who have answered the call. A large percentage of our employees are Veterans who are honoring a commitment of continual service and are extremely proud to transfer blades from our hands into the hands of the world’s most elite operators. Many of us have worn a flag on missions in battle and now we get to continue the fight by creating products for those still serving.
