Jean Tanazacq's vision and interpretation of a diver's knife. Originally designed for US Seal Members in mind, what is most remarkable in this model is the back saw which was initially developed for the Model ORQ but with a longer and larger blade. His renowned ORQ was first manufactured in 1972 to answer the request and needs of the Firefighter Marine Diving Team of the Havre, in the state of Normandy which was endowed with a frightening and efficient saw. On the Frogseal, the saw who is as effective and scary sharp as seen on the ORQ1 is not intended to cut wood, but it seeks to cut by slipping, hemp and/or sisal ropes, nylon, rubber tubes, straps, tendons, car safety belts, skins, bungee etc... This saw has a track that runs in the horizontal direction and in the vertical direction. This characteristic added to its intrinsic qualities makes it one of the best survival, adventure diving model Tanazacq designed. The maker knows several cases of divers caught in fishing nets or the trawl that wrapped around the propeller or ropes. In one instance, a diver had to cut quickly through heavy mesh that held him prisoner of this gigantic spider web, went back to the surface, happy and relieve of this dangerous chore.
