Overview
Knife:
Hand forged by Ryan Johnson at the Gold Point Forge! The Death God Knife from Ryan has a near perfect balance of function and form making it a solid choice for most anything you encounter. The convex ground drop point blade profile is a great general use shape with a large belly for slicing, and features a forged Death God pattern on the blade 'flats' for some extra killer looks! The tapered tang design keeps the weight down without sacrificing strength and has been cord wrapped for a solid and secure grip without being abrasive. Comes with a custom leather sheath with RMJ embossings and OWB loop.
About the 37 SK In Ryan's words: "Back 12 years or so ago we had the opportunity to teach forging classes to the cadre of Range 37 at the JFK Special Warfare Center and School (“Where the resistance begins!”) After that I drew up a knife and tomahawk blank that could be forged different ways and was intended to be cord wrapped - something the guys there at the range could bang out for friends and such. I fell in love with the concept as I love the idea of simplifying concepts to their core. Hence the 37 Kestrel, and 37 SK, etc.
I still see some of the guys from that class using the concept to craft knives."

Tomahawk:
Hand forged with blood, sweat and cussin' at Ryan Johnson's Gold Point Forge! Ryan is known to have many talents: singing, world-famous Cordon bleu recipes, philanthropy (he gave Rob a job, after all), just to name a few. What you may NOT know about Ryan, is that he is an expert of beating molten hot metals into submission. A certified snake charmer of the steel, you might say. Well, every now and again, he decides to flex those honed hammering hands and create stunning pieces of usable art. This Trade Hawk is one such example! Patterned after colonial trade tomahawk designs, with his own personal blend of spices, the head can be removed from the handle for easier stowage. The head features a mild steel body with carbon steel forge welded core.
The Head: Forged head featuring a tall, classic profile finished with an the natural forged finish and dragon scale pattern complete with stamped maker's marks.
The Handle: Custom hickory handle with turned on his Defiance 1904 lathe with Valhalla and Celtic motifs spanning the length of the handle.
The Sheath: Top eject custom leather sheath with maker stamp and death god engravings and finished with a dark green dye.
