Overview

Condor Knife & Tool

The Primitive Bush knife features an English 420 HC (High Carbon) surgical quality stainless steel and is heat treated and annealed to about 56-58 Rockwell (a measure of hardness). Every edge is hand finished and polished to razor sharpness. The blasted satin finish is achieved by sand or bead blasting the exposed metal portion of the blade. The hardwood handles are made from hard woods of Central America, similar to Hickory, and are used in some of our machetes and knives. They are finished with a smooth grip and are known for their long durability.

About the Designer

Matt Graham has experience living off the land: he went for a walk one day and ended up spending six months on his own in the wild. He lives in a remote area of southern Utah where he primarily sleeps in rudimentary structures. You may have seen Matt use Condor products on TV. In 2015, Graham and Condor Tool & Knife teamed up to develop a special line of "Primitive Survival Tools", combining Matt's core knowledge of aboriginal skills and pioneer design with Condor's old world hand craftsmanship. Condor's Primitive Survival Series Tools are built tough and will take you to the next level in your adventures.

About the Maker

Condor Tool and Knife

CONDORĀ® TOOL & KNIFE traces its proud history back to 1787, the year GEBR WEYESBERG COMPANY was founded in Solingen, Germany. The quality of the swords, military knives, agricultural tools and household cutlery they manufactured made Solingen the cutlery capital of the world. Over the generations, the world?s largest manufacturer of swords and knives found it necessary to expand operations to other countries to better serve its customers. In 1964, the company formed with a new plant in Santa Ana, El Salvador, filling it with state of the art German equipment and sending some of their local employees to Solingen for extensive training. Today, the factory is turning out the finest quality machetes, knives, axes, shovels and other hand tools. Condor?s Central American operations were sold in the 1980?s to local investors. Today, Condor is one of the largest machete and shovel manufacturers in the world operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to fill an increasing worldwide demand for its products. In 2004, Condor developed a first quality line of tools and knives for the North American and European outdoor markets. CONDORĀ® TOOL & KNIFE was born.
