Description: South African knifemaker Jaco de Kock creates an exceptional folder. This PL1 Framelock Flipper will be the highlight of most any collection, but would also be a good choice as a daily carry folder.
The blade is hand ground RWL-34 stainless steel with a hand rubbed satin finish. RWL-34 is a premium powder metallurgy cutlery steel manufactured by Damasteel in Söderfors, Sweden. Because it is made from rapidly solidified powders, the microstructure of the steel is much more uniform. This gives the steel higher strength and resistance to cracks and chips. Jaco's touchmark is on the left side of the blade. It is easily opened single handed with the ambidextrous flipper tab. The blade is perfectly centered and has smooth, consistent action. It is hollow ground for an easy to maintain edge.
The frame is Gr5 titanium. The Jaco engraved an intricate feather pattern across both sides of the knife. The external titanium pivot is surrounded by a carbon fiber pivot collar inlay. The 3D machined titanium pocket clip is mounted for right-side, tip up carry.
Exceptional work throughout!
