Overview

Crafted by Japan’s legendary bladesmith Kiku Matsuda, this limited-edition “Sabai-doru” model was released exclusively at the 2024 Ginza Knife Exhibition. A true collector’s masterpiece, the gold-painted “菊” (Kiku) character on the sheath is personally hand-signed by the master himself.

Forged entirely by hand, the blade embodies both the tactical power and artistic expression that define Kiku’s legacy. The steel used is OU-31, a high-performance alloy favored by Matsuda for its exceptional hardness, edge retention, and durability under extreme conditions.

The blade features a dramatic etched crack pattern combined with a rugged stonewashed finish, giving it a bold visual presence. Its 3D-machined G10 handle offers a secure, ergonomic grip in any environment. The custom composite sheath—adorned with Kiku’s signature—adds not only functional protection, but also artistic prestige.
