Overview
The Boker Barlow with its characteristic, extra-long nickel silver jaws and the wide blade is a milestone in the history of the Boker Manufactory. The handy knife is absolutely pocket-friendly, but also large enough to handle most everyday cutting tasks without any problems. The slipjoint blade is made from 440C and opened with a nail nick. The stabilized handle scales are made of local grain birch, which is characterized by its rich color and characteristic grain. The knife is handmade in the Böker knife factory in Solingen.
440C Stainless Steel
While it was still a high-end steel several decades ago, 440C is a very decent middle-grade steel today. Many users still see it as the perfect "magical trifecta" of edge retention, corrosion resistance, and easy sharpening.
