Overview
Chattanooga Leather Works Leather Sheath For Randall Model 1-7
At Chattanooga LeatherWorks, we strive to be the best makers we can be, fully realizing that we follow a long line of craftsmen who have helped people carry their blades and tools for centuries. We decided to take on a Randall Made Knife model simply because they already come with some of the best sheaths on the market. We do not aim to offer a "better" option—as they are already about as good as they can get—but we wanted to put our own unique flair on such an iconic knife and sheath combination. This project is deeply personal to us, rooted right here in our hometown of Chattanooga, Tennessee, a city with a rich history of leather work and saddle shops. As a historic river town where tanneries flourished and shipping was easy, Chattanooga was uniquely positioned to supply eastern populations with quality leather goods while simultaneously equipping those heading west with rugged saddles. In a past era when Randall was in between sheath makers and wartime efforts caused demand to rise, they put out bids for production. For a brief ten-month stint, their sheaths came from Heiser Saddlery as well as our very own Southern Saddlery. While Heiser ultimately fulfilled the ongoing demand, we take immense pride in looking back at the leatherworking tradition that was alive and well in Chattanooga in those days. While we might not be the first sheath makers in our area to build aRandall Made Knifesheath, we are proud to carry on the tradition by producing this one for you from our home shop right here in Chattanooga.
It also fits a 7" blade Model 5 and Model 16.
