The Tsunami is the pinnacle of flipping evolution from Squid Industries. Every design feature and dimension was carefully chosen to achieve the ultimate balance and comfort. This next-generation butterfly knife trainer is the epitome of peak performance.
Blemished Products
Blemished models are units that didn't pass our inspection process due to cosmetic imperfections but are guaranteed to flip just as well as our new products.
Blemished product sales are final (no returns accepted) but they do qualify for warranty services (mechanical defects only). Please refer to the pictures for an example of a blemished model. Some of these
blemished models may have varying handle versions. Blemished models come with a box and may come with the following, but not limited to:
- Light scratches
- Light dents
- Discolored or faded anodizing
- Inconsistent blade finish
- Mismatching colored handles
- Flawed or missing laser engraving
- Sharpening defects
Each and every Squid Industries balisong is hand assembled and tested to ensure that each unit is an exceptional flipper. Balisongs come thread
locked.
The Story:
The Tsunami debuted in 2020 and was Squid Industries’ first titanium balisong. Originally starting out as a live blade, the Tsunami quickly became a staple in every competitive flipper’s arsenal. It required months of extensive research, trial and error, and dozens of iterations to create what we believe is the ideal flipping experience.
The Tsunami is crafted by our skilled machinists on our state-of-the-art Okuma M560 CNC machines. They’re then assembled by our elite assembly team to ensure that each and every unit is finely tuned to perfection. The Tsunami is our pride and joy, and I hope that you love flipping it as much as we enjoy making it.

Product Details:
Every Tsunami is serialized and comes with an aluminum Certificate of Authenticity card for product verification. Each unit also comes with a beautiful jeweled texture on the inside of the handles, which creates a unique visual aesthetic during flipping. The Zirblast is a bright matte texture produced by blasting the surface with unique crystalline zirconia (ZrO) ceramic media. Zirblast Tsunami trainers also come equipped with stainless steel hardware. All versions of the Tsunami trainer come with 6 weight pins (3 for each handle) and a complimentary stainless steel hardware kit.
This next-generation live blade balisong offers the following:
- 6AL-4V titanium handles with dual width and thickness taper
- Channel sandwich handle design with radiused geometry and milled texture
- CPM S35-VN Stainless blade with 45 degree machined bevels and swedge
- Precision tuned bushing system
- Hidden modular balance system (weight pins included)
- Mathematically calculated weight distribution for the ultimate balance
- Matte Zirblast Finish for more grip
