Shipping Policy

Any customers with separate shipping and billing addresses are subject to follow up contact. If no contact can be made, your order will be cancelled. Please understand that this policy is to protect our customers from fraud and theft.

Shipping costs are calculated automatically when you checkout. Orders to P.O. Boxes or military addresses require shipping via USPS.

Orders placed by 3:00pm EST will be shipped the same day. All orders shipped USPS (including Express) may take an additional business day to process and ship. We strongly recommend shipping UPS if you need guaranteed delivery by a certain date.

For our international customers, you must call or email after ordering to arrange for duties/customs and declarations before we will ship your order. USPS Express International shipments with declarations greater than $200, incur an additional $15.00 fee for postage/insurance.

Vietnam War Era U.S. Army M7 bayonet ~ Vintage     

Genuine Vietnam War Era U.S. Army M7 bayonet fighting knife for the M-16 Rifle, with an original M8A1 scabbard. This knife-style bayonet was based on the M4 bayonet for the M1 Carbine, which was based on the M3 fighting knife. The M7 is almost identical, except for the much larger muzzle ring to go over the M16's flash hider. This example is marked U.S. M7 / IMPERIAL around the blade on the cross guard. This was manufactured by Imperial Knife Co, at the time one of the largest knife manufacturers in the country. They had manufactured many M4 bayonets for the m1 Carbine, as well as the M5 for the M1 Garand, and the M6 for the M-14. All of these featured the same blade, with different handles and other fittings.

.197" blade stock, .871" blade depth. Comes in a USM8A1 sheath. Has some scratches, excellent condition for its age, great condition overall.

About the Maker

Imperial

The Imperial Knife Company had its roots at the Empire Knife Company in Winsted, Connecticut. In 1916, two men named Felix and Michael Miranda moved from Frosolone Molise in Italy to Providence, Rhode Island to be near its jewelry industry and began making skeletons for “waldemar,” or pocket watch chain knives. With their friend Domenic Fazzano as manager, they established the Imperial Knife Company, which would grow to at one point be the largest knife manufacturer in the United States.The company developed a number of successful innovations in the manufacture of commercial value-priced folding pocket knives.
