"My name is Jim Vandeveld, and I am based out of Erie, Pennsylvania. For over 12 years, I've been a full-time CNC mill machinist / injection mold maker. During that time, I've worked to develop and hone a set of skills that would allow me to produce something myself, from start to finish. A few years ago, I landed on the perfect way to put those skills to use doing something that I love -- making quality, custom knives by hand. I've spent countless hours learning to develop and implement processes, maintain strict standards, and build parts that are both reliable and replicable. All of these qualities are reflected in the process I use to design and build my knives. When I'm not at my day job or spending time with my wife and kids, I focus my energy on knife making. With each knife I make, I'm able to channel my love for tight-tolerance machine work into building high-end, consistently created fixed blade and folding knives."
