Layaway Information

Layaway Policies

We offer a layaway plan on select products so you may pay for your order over a period of 60 days. Products that are eligible for layaway will show "Layaway Available: Yes" on the product page.

Here's how it works:

The total amount of the order excluding shipping, tax, or fees is divided into three (3) equal payments. The first payment is due with the order, the second payment is due 30 days later, and the final payment is due 60 days after the order.

There is a $15 non-refundable fee for layaway orders. This fee is added to the first payment along with the shipping and any tax. The first payment is made when the order is placed.

Example: Your order total is $300 plus $12.75 shipping and handling. If you select the layaway option, your payments would be:

  • $127.75 (1/3 of purchase = $100 + $15 layaway fee + $12.75 shipping)
  • $100.00 (1/3 of purchase = $100)
  • $100.00 (1/3 of purchase = $100)

If your initial payment is made by credit card, we will automatically process the 2nd and 3rd payments at the appropriate time using the same credit card information. You will be reminded via email that a payment will be charged. If you need to change this for any reason, please contact us.

For payments made other than credit card, payment must be received within seven (7) days of the due date or the order is subject to cancellation. You will receive a reminder via email that a payment is due.

If you wish to complete payment early and have your order shipped, you may contact us at any time during the 60 day period. There is no penalty for prepayment.

Additional products may be added to a layaway order without penalty. A new payment schedule will be calculated based on when additional products are added.

If you wish to complete payment early and have your order shipped, you may contact us at any time during the 60 day period. There is no penalty for early payment.

Cancellations of layaway orders are subject to a restocking/processing fee of 10% of the order total (not including tax and shipping costs). This restocking fee is in addition to the $15 non-refundable layaway fee.

Overview

Blade Show West Pick-Up - Protech Brend Classic Auto Operator, Black Aluminum Diamond Texture, DLC Magnacut - WB1106-OP

The Pro-Tech Brend Classic Auto brings together the unmistakable design language of legendary knifemaker Walter Brend with Pro-Tech’s renowned American automatic-knife manufacturing. This version stands out with a diamond-textured black aluminum handle paired with a DLC MagnaCut blade, giving the knife a bold combination of performance and collector appeal.

The aggressive Brend-inspired blade profile is made from CPM MagnaCut, offering an outstanding balance of edge retention, toughness, corrosion resistance, and sharpening response. The DLC finish gives the blade a distinctive, stealthy appearance.

Its lightweight aluminum handle features a machined diamond texture that adds traction without sacrificing the clean, refined look associated with Pro-Tech. The Operator version has a sterile blade and a Tritium Vial inlaid in the firing button, which, when pressed, delivers the fast, authoritative automatic deployment Pro-Tech is known for.

Built in the USA and produced with Pro-Tech’s focus on precision machining, hand fitting, and small-batch craftsmanship, the Brend Classic is equally at home as a premium automatic EDC or as part of a serious Pro-Tech collection.

Comes with original box and papers. New from maker at the 2026 Blade Show West.

Pro-Tech Knives

The art of modern manufacturing excellence meets old world craftsmanship. Pro-Tech Knives, LLC is a family owned knife company that has been building high quality American Made knives since 1998. Each Pro-Tech knife is a blend of the finest materials available and a commitment to craftsmanship. Our knives are built with the most current high tech manufacturing processes that include; CNC Machining, Wire EDM, Laser Cutting, etc. The high tech components are assembled and hand fit by dedicated and caring craftsmen and women here in our factory. Made in America! Pro-Tech builds some of the finest knives in the world right here in the good old United States. The majority of components for each knife are manufactured inside the Pro-Tech facility. We start with bars of aluminum, billets of hand forged Damascus, sheets of steel and titanium. These premium raw materials are carefully machined, ground, deburred, finished, assembled, sharpened, inspected, and packaged right here under one roof. We manufacture small batches of our knives so that we can take the time to individually hand fit and finish each knife to a level rarely seen in a factory knife. Our production knife models offer the best design, function, and value of any knife on the market today. Our custom art knives are unique pieces of art. Each of our custom, limited-edition knives is a showpiece of heirloom quality. No matter which of our knives you choose, we are confident that you will be very satisfied with your purchase.
