NL Knives

NL Knives was founded by two passionate knifemakers with one goal: to create exceptional knives in limited, exclusive series. Their work combines classic shapes, premium materials, high-performance steels, and constant experimentation, while putting a piece of their soul into every knife they make. Many NL knives are one-of-a-kind pieces. These exclusive works often feature the makers’ signature hand engraving on metal, with artistic use of titanium, copper, gold, and silver. The result is a knife that is also a collectible work of art. Some projects take up to six months to complete. The workshop produces only around 10–15 knives per month. This limited production is due to the high level of handwork involved at nearly every stage of the process, making each knife distinctive and full of character. For their blades, NL Knives primarily uses premium powder steels from leading international manufacturers and high-quality Damascus steels. Handles are crafted from titanium alloys, custom carbon fiber, and other exotic materials selected for beauty and performance. Every NL knife begins with an idea. That idea is discussed, refined, filled with meaning, and carefully developed into a complete and balanced design. Often, dozens of sketches are created before the final concept takes shape. For many exclusive projects, the N&L team works not for days or weeks but for months — patiently crafting a knife that is refined and impossible to replicate. Each exclusive NL knife represents hundreds of hours of skilled handwork and a long journey from the first idea to its final form in metal. All NL knives are hand-ground and sharpened using Japanese sharpening tools. After assembly, each knife is carefully inspected, adjusted, and fine-tuned by hand. At every stage of production, strict quality control ensures precision, reliability, and flawless execution.
