Vargo, Jack
He and his wife Donna operated the Belfort General Store, Beaver River Trading Co.. Their colonial blacksmith shop focused on producing museum quality reproductions of 17th and 18th century colonial artifacts including knives, trade axes, and other metal tools. Jack was an archeologist and published a number of scholarly papers, articles for newsletters and bulletins. He wrote the book, "Spike Tomahawk: A Popular Tool and Weapon in Colonial North America." Jack was a distinguished member of the Fort La Presentation Association's Board of Directors. He passed away in April 17, 2020.
