Layaway Information

Layaway Policies

We offer a layaway plan on select products so you may pay for your order over a period of 60 days. Products that are eligible for layaway will show "Layaway Available: Yes" on the product page.

Here's how it works:

The total amount of the order excluding shipping, tax, or fees is divided into three (3) equal payments. The first payment is due with the order, the second payment is due 30 days later, and the final payment is due 60 days after the order.

There is a $15 non-refundable fee for layaway orders. This fee is added to the first payment along with the shipping and any tax. The first payment is made when the order is placed.

Example: Your order total is $300 plus $12.75 shipping and handling. If you select the layaway option, your payments would be:

  • $127.75 (1/3 of purchase = $100 + $15 layaway fee + $12.75 shipping)
  • $100.00 (1/3 of purchase = $100)
  • $100.00 (1/3 of purchase = $100)

If your initial payment is made by credit card, we will automatically process the 2nd and 3rd payments at the appropriate time using the same credit card information. You will be reminded via email that a payment will be charged. If you need to change this for any reason, please contact us.

For payments made other than credit card, payment must be received within seven (7) days of the due date or the order is subject to cancellation. You will receive a reminder via email that a payment is due.

If you wish to complete payment early and have your order shipped, you may contact us at any time during the 60 day period. There is no penalty for prepayment.

Additional products may be added to a layaway order without penalty. A new payment schedule will be calculated based on when additional products are added.

If you wish to complete payment early and have your order shipped, you may contact us at any time during the 60 day period. There is no penalty for early payment.

Cancellations of layaway orders are subject to a restocking/processing fee of 10% of the order total (not including tax and shipping costs). This restocking fee is in addition to the $15 non-refundable layaway fee.

About the Maker

Moro, Corrado

I was born in Turin in 1972 and at the age of 14 I attended professional school in the field of precision engineering, achieving various specializations in mechanical processing. Soon after the school I began to work as a toolmaker, specializing in construction, installation and EDM machining. I have been employed in the same company for 23 years.Aside the daily job, the experience accumulated over the years has led me to build a shop to develop other projects, improving and learning new technics. In 2007, introduced to me by mutual friends, met the master knife maker Charlie Bennica, with whom I formed a strong friendship and began an exchange of ideas and thoughts that continues today. In these years he taught me a lot and, thanks to its great experience, decided to enter the world of artistic knife. In 2012, after a local knife show in Bologna I have been invited at the ECCKS of New York. Immediately after returning to Italy I quit my previous job and became a full-time knife maker. The world of collectible knife excites me because I found in it the opportunity to express my imagination in the most pure and unrestrained way, both artistically and in terms of construction work, constantly trying to improve in every field, using all the techniques acquired over the years and studying the latest technology to make progress in every area.I like to innovate and to think outside of the box, breaking the classic schemes, looking for new and different mechanical solutions, learning as much as possible both by the great masters and the new trends. In the same way I try to include in my design some key elements that you can find in the everyday life, as well as in contemporary work of art.I think my knives reflect the work experiences and my greatest passions. When drawing a new knife I give free rein to my imagination, worrying as little as possible as I can make it happen, drawing inspiration from everything around me, both by nature and its colors, shapes of animals, the tense lines of aircrafts and racing machines, without forgetting of watches and jewelry, not to mention the best works of past and present knife makers, and of course the most famous AKI members.Stepping into the making phase, instead I try to be as close as possible to the project I have in mind, contriving any system that allows me to build it exactly the way I imagined, without taking shortcuts.Since I dedicate myself totally to the realization of the knives I feel satisfied and professionally fulfilled. In just a few years I have visited countries where I have never been before, made new friends and discovered new passions. I just started, but already feel to have found my way and now I am looking forward to see what would come after the next bend...
