Overview

Columbia River describes this item as follows:

Ken Onion is a determined knifemaker, which is an important reason why he is one of the best-known names in the industry. A while back, he told us that he was working on the ultimate hunting knife, but it wasn't ready yet. We assumed that meant he was just putting the finishing touches on a prototype, and boy, were we wrong! Instead, Ken was concluding an extensive field testing program spanning more than five years, making dozens of custom skinners and giving them to Alaskan guides, professional hunters, and taxidermists in exchange for their feedback. And as the responses came back, he kept modifying the design and sending out more knives. The result looks very different than any skinner we have ever seen, but the design is founded on research, not Ken's fancy. He says that the knives have been used to skin over 60 Alaskan bears over the past two years, plus they have been proven on deer, elk, moose, antelope, hogs, sheep and cattle. While some were skeptical at first, it has become the favorite knife of many of the top guides.

This is a limited edition of 1,000 units individually numbered.
