Shipping Policy

Any customers with separate shipping and billing addresses are subject to follow up contact. If no contact can be made, your order will be cancelled. Please understand that this policy is to protect our customers from fraud and theft.

Shipping costs are calculated automatically when you checkout. Orders to P.O. Boxes or military addresses require shipping via USPS.

Orders placed by 3:00pm EST will be shipped the same day. All orders shipped USPS (including Express) may take an additional business day to process and ship. We strongly recommend shipping UPS if you need guaranteed delivery by a certain date.

For our international customers, you must call or email after ordering to arrange for duties/customs and declarations before we will ship your order. USPS Express International shipments with declarations greater than $200, incur an additional $15.00 fee for postage/insurance.

Overview

This Specialist was made at Marbles in Gladstone, Mi. in 1999 or 2000. The blade is satin finished and made of A-2 Tool Steel that was Cryo-Tempered, .197" blade stock and 1.148" blade depth, hidden tang construction. The handle is Kraton, it's like rubber. Mike Stewart was VP at Marbles Knife at that time. Expedition Knives was owned by Mike Stewart. There was just one run of these and not many were made. Comes with a brown leather sheath with sharpening stone pouch and stone. Comes with a Marbles Box. Excellent condition.

Some notable dates: 1902 - British Army adopts Marbles No. 3 Safety Pocket Axes. 1916 - British government buys Marble’s hunting knives for Army issue. 1927 - Charles Lindbergh carries Marble’s knife, compass, and matchbox on first solo transatlantic flight. 1958 - Marble Arms Corporation sells 500 Pilot Survival knives to U.S. Navy and releases proprietary manufacturing specifications.
