Overview

The Interface

An ultralight weight, medium duty, flipper style folding pocket knife. Designed to be extremely light weight while still retaining full size (3.6” blade). With its carbon fiber bodied plain edge flat ground blade the entire knife weighs a mere 1.6 oz. The titanium hardware, handle scales and pocket clip are all 3d CNC machined, designed for comfort and ease of use. The action rides on fully ceramic custom bearings and snaps open incredibly fast using the flipper tab. It has a characteristic and satisfying double click opening action sound. The knife is mostly carbon fiber but uses a variation on the titanium integral frame lock design to keep the knife open against hardened steel inserts. Each piece is engraved with the model name and individual serial number on the backspacer. Each knife is machined, heat treated, hand finished, tested in house and proudly made in the USA.

Comes with original box, COA, and soft pouch. Excellent condition.

About the Maker

I’ve been tinkering with things since I was a little kid. Electronics, machines, mechanical objects, computers, design, you name it. Over the years I’ve constantly been learning and developing those skills. Some things never change. Looking back it seems inevitable that I’d be doing something like this and the future looks very bright. Before I decided to start my own business I was a Manufacturing Engineer for one of the major aerospace companies in southern California . I am also an FAA certificated Airframe and Powerplant mechanic. I’ve worked in aerospace for over 13 years and have held positions in production, leadership, planning, and engineering. I’ve had the chance to learn a lot of advanced procedures and techniques during my time in the business. I love knives and have been carrying and collecting them for as long as I have been able to. Some high end and some more affordable. I very seldom come across a knife that doesn’t need some improvement or refinement. Whether that’s the sharpness, the action, or almost anything, I have always enjoyed improving them. I got into CNC machining in 2014 with the intention of modifying some of my daily carry knives. After doing several successful mods I realized I could certainly make my own entire knife. I’ve had the idea for a knife with a carbon fiber blade body for a long time. Nothing like what I was looking for existed so I started making the first Interface prototypes knives in early 2019.
