Overview

The 0640WBW is a robust ZT/Ernest Emerson collaboration that provides both utterly practical design and boldly eye-catching style.

The first thing you'll notice is the handle. The black stonewashed titanium handle features a black and white carbon fiber composite overlay on both sides. In addition to the engaging overlay, the handle also features ridged machining at the top of the handle that follows the handle's angular contours, front and back. A sturdy frame lock with hardened steel lockbar insert provides a secure lockup. Jimping at top and bottom of the handle enhances grip.

This handsome handle is paired with a 3.75" clip-point blade of CPM-20CV high-chromium stainless steel. This powdered metallurgy tool steel has a high volume of vanadium carbides for exceptional wear resistance - and a truly long-lasting edge. The highest level of chromium of any high-vanadium steel gives 20CV excellent corrosion resistance as well. The blade has a black stonewashed finish that helps resist normal wear and tear while using the knife.

The 0640 is a fully manual knife that opens one-handed with the Emerson thumb disk. A reversible pocket clip makes it easy to carry with you, too. EDC, at work, or outdoors, the 0640 can handle it all.

About the Maker

Emerson Knives
Emerson Knives

Ernest Emerson started making custom knives in his garage in 1979. He rapidly rose to prominence as a knife maker due in equal parts to his expertise as a craftsman, (tool and die maker), his artists eye for design, and his practical experience as one of the world’s most sought-after and respected hand-to-hand combat instructors. Emerson’s work has been featured and exhibited at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Smithsonian Museum. There are only a handful of living artists who can make that claim. As an instructor in hand-to-hand combat and edged weapon skills, Mr. Emerson has taught the most elite warriors on earth, from the US Navy SEALs to the Guards of Parliament in London and everywhere in between. He is the author of scores of articles, books, and videos regarding tactics, training and combat. As one of the most sought after instructors in the world he is in high demand for seminars and lectures to civilian, military and law enforcement agencies. He is an inducted member of The Martial Arts Hall of Fame, along with such venerable names as Bruce Lee and Chuck Norris. In fact he is the only knife maker known who also owns and operates his own training facility, the world-class “Black Shamrock Combat Academy Gym” in Los Angeles, California.

Zero Tolerance Knives
Zero Tolerance Knives

Zero Tolerance is a brand of Kai USA Ltd. The ZT brand first made its appearance in 2006 when we saw a place in the market for a Made-in-USA line of hard-use knives that would meet the needs of professionals in the military and law enforcement, as well as other first responders, such as firefighters and emergency medical personnel. The initial products were combat knives, but since that time, the line has expanded to include a variety of general use and premium knives. From larger and heavier outdoor knives to slimmer and lighter everyday carrying knives that are built to ZT's high-performance standards, ZT knives always provide knife owners with top-of-the-line quality. Zero Tolerance Knives are manufactured of premium materials such as S30V, S35VN, or 20CV blade steel and G10, titanium, and carbon-fiber handle scales. We pay attention to the details, ensuring each part of your ZT is built with care and precision. Operation is conspicuously smooth and ZT fit and finish is second to none. All ZTs are proudly built in our Tualatin, Oregon manufacturing facility by our most skilled workers.
