Overview
This Field Marshall by Todd Begg features a stonewash finished blade with a notched thumb ramp. The handled features black G10 handled over a cracked ice titanium liners with a hand rub satin pivot collar, tip down stainless steel pocket clip and a black G10 backspacer. Runs on IKBS bearings. Nice detent, lockup and blade seating. Comes with a zippered case. Has some rust spots on the pivot surround. Couple light spots on the frame, great condition otherwise.
This Begg Field Marshall isn’t a custom, but a Boker Field Marshall that the crew over at Begg Knives modified with custom appointments. I believe the story is that they received some samples from the production run and either were unhappy with them or wanted to spruce them up, so they requested a batch and did normal Begg customizations to them. Mostly cracked ice finish and swapping from washers to IKBS. The old “Todd Begg” logo is on the back side of the blade and has been mostly removed, but if you look closely at the second picture you can see it on the grind. That logo was only on the back side due to the Boker logo being on the front side.
