Shipping Policy

Any customers with separate shipping and billing addresses are subject to follow up contact. If no contact can be made, your order will be cancelled. Please understand that this policy is to protect our customers from fraud and theft.

Shipping costs are calculated automatically when you checkout. Orders to P.O. Boxes or military addresses require shipping via USPS.

Orders placed by 3:00pm EST will be shipped the same day. All orders shipped USPS (including Express) may take an additional business day to process and ship. We strongly recommend shipping UPS if you need guaranteed delivery by a certain date.

For our international customers, you must call or email after ordering to arrange for duties/customs and declarations before we will ship your order. USPS Express International shipments with declarations greater than $200, incur an additional $15.00 fee for postage/insurance.

Overview

The Raptor Shobu-Zukuri (Iris Leaf) Katana blade has an elegant shape and powerful cutting ability.  Notable for the absence of a Yokote transition,  this blade design became popular during the Nanbokucho era (1336 ~1392 AD) and its popularity continued into the Muromachi period.  Designed under the auspices of cutting master James Williams,  the Raptor Katana series has been crafted by Paul Chen for the cutting practitioner who does not necessarily have access to mats but who wishes to practice and perfect his cutting technique.
