Overview
This butterfly knife by Billings and Spencer Co was the First American Butterfly Knife Patented March 10, 1908. It has a satin finished blade and nickel plated steel chanel construction handles. Has some scratches, oxidation and wear, otherwise fair condition for its age.
The First American butterfly knife, patented in 1908. Levine's Guide 3rd Edition makes mention of this on page 287 and shows the patent drawing. The blade is stamped with "Billins Patent March 10, 1908". This knife is in fair condition. It is worn due to its age, but it still opens and flips just fine. This knife is quite rare.
