Overview
This great looking knife is the Model 26 Pathfinder, one of Randalls best selling Models. This is an excellent skinning and outdoors knife. Satin finished blade, .160" blade stock and .924" blade depth, hidden tang construction. The handle has a brass guard, walnut grip with black/brass spacers. The handle has a mammoth ivory inlay that was scrimshawed by Rick Bowles and is #564. Includes a brown leather sheath and a Randall zippered case. Has a couple very light spots on the blade, otherwise excellent condition.
Wolf Robe, chief of the Southern Cheyenne, is portrayed here in Rick Bowles fine scrimshaw. Born in North Dakota around 1840, he was awarded a silver Peace Medallion from President Harrison in 1890. Around 1877, the year after the Little Big Horn, along with most of the Southern Cheyenne, he was moved to reservations in Indian territory, now Oklahoma, where he died in 1910. While not documented as such, there's conjecture that he may have been the model for the Indian Head nickel.
