Overview
This Reproduction Viking Sword by Randal Graham of Dragon Fist Forge features a hand forged double edged blade with hammer marked flats, .248" blade stock and 1.833" blade depth, hidden tang construction. The handle has a multipiece guard and butt consisting of hammered copper, silver alloy and bronze. The handle is bloodwood and has been free hand carved by the maker. The tang goes through the handle and is hand peened at the butt. This sword was made entirely with hand tools and by eye, it was forged, finished with files and stones, and all of the other parts and pieces were made with a saw, chisels and stones. Comes with a brown leather sheath with copper rivets, brass throat and twisted copper rings that have been silver soldered. Comes with a wooden box, COA, a letter from the maker, and a Customs Information form dated May 22, 1998. Excellent condition. Also comes with a clipping of a newspaper article where he is working on this very sword.
The maker states on the COA that he didn't use any measureing devices or jigs on this sword. It was fitted entirely by eye and simple wood measuring sticks made on the fly.
