Shipping Policy

Any customers with separate shipping and billing addresses are subject to follow up contact. If no contact can be made, your order will be cancelled. Please understand that this policy is to protect our customers from fraud and theft.

Shipping costs are calculated automatically when you checkout. Orders to P.O. Boxes or military addresses require shipping via USPS.

Orders placed by 3:00pm EST will be shipped the same day. All orders shipped USPS (including Express) may take an additional business day to process and ship. We strongly recommend shipping UPS if you need guaranteed delivery by a certain date.

For our international customers, you must call or email after ordering to arrange for duties/customs and declarations before we will ship your order. USPS Express International shipments with declarations greater than $200, incur an additional $15.00 fee for postage/insurance.

This 1911 Combat Survivor Bowie celebrates 100 years of the Model 1911 Colt Auto Pistol

The 1911 Combat Survivor can be carried with either the survival clip or the spare magazine for a Colt 1911 automatic. The Custom black leather sheath provides a pouch for the sharpening stone. It has a green coated blade with flash top edge, .190" blade stock and 1.570" blade depth, integral construction with green canvas micarta scales. The 1911 Combat Survivor Bowie package includes:

  • The Knife
  • Custom Black Leather Sheath
  • Survival Clip: door of the compartment is a diamond hone for sharpening, a survival card, a Leatherman Micra, magnesium and ferric rod fire starter, needles for sewing, a length of synthetic sinew for snares, fishing, sewing, a bow string etc. and fish hooks. It has capacity for a single .45 round.
  • Can also hold a loaded 1911 magazine as well
  • An extra set of green G-10 scales
  • Serial Number 119

Has a little inconsistant in the blade finish near the edge, but otherwise excellent condition. It does not appear to have ever been used.

Mark Knapp, a tool and die maker with 38 years experience, along with his wife, Angel, own and operate Mark Knapp Custom Knives located at Edge of the Arctic Trading Post ~ Custom Knives and Art Gallery in Fairbanks, Alaska. The shop is a full service machine shop, custom tool making and knife sharpening shop. Mark’s background as a tool and die maker and several semesters enrolled in the University of Alaska’s Fine Arts Program provide Mark with the working knowledge to produce knives of superior quality and exceptional beauty. Having worked seasonally as a big game guide, professional trapper and commercial fisherman for over half of his adult life, Mark is fortunate to have acquired an insight into the form and function of knives from working field knives to true works of art. At Edge of the Arctic Trading Post, you will not only find Mark’s handmade creations, but you can also choose from carvings and artwork by gifted craftsmen and women from around the state and choose from our selection of quality ulus made right in the store.
