Olsen Knives (OK)
Olsen OK Knives were in Howard City, Michigan from 1950 to 1980. They built their reputation in making high-quality, handmade fixed-blade hunting knives of the highest quality Swedish tool steel designed by Lee Olsen Jr. Their Trophy Line of knives were marked with the inscription “Olsen OK H.C. MI”, and the blades featured a curved spine and brass guard. The Mark V 700 line was their factory production knife. In 1970, they expanded their production, offering their new Huntsman 4800 & Stag 2700 line of knives from their factory in Germany, stamping them: OLSEN KNIFE Co. over SOLINGEN GERMANY. Unfortunately, they went out of business around 1980 due to a fire destroying their factory and showroom. From 1982 to 1985, a group in Grand Rapids, Michigan used the Olsen Knife Company trademark on hunting knives sourced from Japan.
